grief support

50 Minutes | $135

Grieving the loss or anticipating the loss of a beloved animal is a profound, deeply personal experience. My Grief Support Sessions are designed to gently support you before, during, or after a loss. Together, we create a sacred space where you can feel heard, validated, and safe to explore your pain while discovering new ways to hold your heart and find a deeper level of love.

What My Services Offer

Peer-Based Support and Education:

I offer compassionate, peer-to-peer support focused on education and presence, not professional therapy, counselling, or clinical mental health services.

Guidance Through Loss and Change:

I help you navigate the emotional, spiritual, and practical aspects of loss, including anticipatory grief, compassionate death planning for your pet, and preparing yourself or your family for transitions.

Support After Loss and Life Changes:

Whether you are grieving a recent loss, experiencing major life changes, facing changes in physical ability, or adjusting to aging, I am here to support you.

Holding Space for the Isolated or Overwhelmed:

If you feel alone or have nowhere else to turn in your grief, I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental presence.

Preparation and Practical Guidance:

We can discuss questions to bring to your veterinarian about hospice care, palliative options, or compassionate euthanasia for your animal.

Resources, Reflections, and Messages:

I share resources, somatic tools, and, when appropriate, messages from your animal to help you feel supported, seen, and more deeply connected.

What Makes These Sessions Unique?

  • Compassionate Space Holding: Your love and relationship with your pet matter—and so do your emotions. I am here to witness, honor, and validate your grief, whatever shape it takes.

  • Messages from Your Animal: During our session, I may share intuitive messages from your beloved pet, helping you feel supported and connected throughout your grief journey.

  • Somatic Tools for Empowerment: I teach practical, body-based tools to help you embody your experience and empower yourself in this challenging time, exploring how love and grief are deeply intertwined.

What I Can and Cannot Promise

I cannot guarantee specific outcomes, “fixing” or “healing” from grief; no one can. Grief is not something to be fixed, and you are not broken. Instead, together we explore how to live with grief and carry it forward in a new way, holding your love with tenderness. My commitment is to walk alongside you with compassion, presence, and tools that can help you find moments of peace, strength, and connection, both within yourself and with your beloved animal.

Is This Session for You?

A Grief Support Session may be helpful if:

  • You have recently lost a pet and want compassionate support as you process your grief.

  • Your pet has been newly diagnosed or suffered a life-altering injury, and your future together feels uncertain.

  • You’re carrying unprocessed grief from a childhood pet loss, or a past loss still impacts you.

  • You are experiencing anticipatory grief as your pet enters their end-of-life journey or has received a terminal diagnosis.

  • You feel guilt or sadness about rehoming or surrendering a pet due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • You are overwhelmed as a caregiver, or your pet is receiving palliative care or hospice support.

  • Your pet has gone missing, or you have experienced a sudden or tragic loss.

  • You are navigating other major life changes, changes in physical ability, or aging, and need grief support.

Appointment Details

“After Freckles died in an emergency, I was lost without her and filled with guilt, wondering if I had done everything possible. I was plagued with such guilt and would say it was a 12/10. Having a grief support session with Hana left me feeling heard, and hearing messages from Freckles and Hana sharing things, only Freckles could have told her, helped me so much. My guilt went to a 1/10. The heaviness was gone, and now I felt a peace where I could cry and miss her without the dark cloud of guilt over me." JOLENE B. CALGARY, ALBERTA

“After my cat, Wesley, passed away, I struggled to manage my grief. I felt alone and didn’t know who to talk to… Hana connects you in the most loving way to your pet so that you can hear their messages. Our session left me feeling light and at peace. One can tell Hana has found her calling. It shines through her work and the services she provides. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Hana.” ALANNA M, VANCOUVER ISLAND, BRITISH COLUMBIA
